I still think it's stupid that the game gives an advantage to people who can type /stuck the fastest. That is not the "player skill" that this game is supposed to be based on.

Having less lag is not player skill at all.
Benefiting from rubberbanding bug is not skill either.
Real issue is that it is possible to desync player position in way that actually makes /stuck worth using.

You must be joking. You're comparing a useless emote to something that helps lagging players.

If anything, I think they should REMOVE the ability to spam (maybe say, a 2 minute cool down) /stuck all together, not make it easier. Lag happens, and it is abusive to be able to spam /stuck with a programable keyboard like you can now. The current situation gives people who have a superior gaming rig with a programmable keyboard an unfair advantage over people who don't. Rather then give everybody that advantage, A.net should just remove it altogether.
People should play anticipating lag. If you are skilled enough to be able to win AND still overcome the occasional rubberband, then that says more about your ability.
|
So basically you want to remove the ability to help you when you're lagging? What would ANet say?
"We find it very unfair that you can get yourself unstuck while lagging, so we are removing it from the game. Sorry for all you gamers who don't have a good internet connection, go play an offline game."
Rubberbanding is a bitch. You can get your party wiped if you're playing monk. You can put a lot of pressure on your party if you're playing warrior. We need /stuck.
You're also forgetting weekend events. The game is laggy enough during popular ones, and you want to take away a feature that helps players who are lagging?

Because this happens all the time in PVE
Because not everyone can afford a G15 keyboard
Just to annoy all those who oppose even the slightest idea that might make the game a bit easier for some. Seriously, I have not read a single, well-thought-out arguement against this idea, yet, in this thread.

And problem solved. And you can even make it any key/mouse button/key combination you want!
